Advanced Title Search - Should "Short" be added as a genre choice for searches?

For some reason, the Advanced Title Search does not include Short among the genres that can be selected for a search. We can manually add Short into URLs to search for titles with this genre. But it would be a lot easier to select Short directly from the Advanced Title Search. Is there a valid reason for omitting Short from this list?

This is covered in the Title Type section on https://www.imdb.com/search/title/ Hope this helps.

@Col_Needham Doh! I once knew that, but had forgotten. I do still think it would help to add Short as a genre, and I'm still wondering if there is a reason to not include it there. That would, for example, allow Videos with the Short genre to be easily included in searches. These searches illustrate that. The first search below compiles both the second and third searches together. Only the third search can be done directly from the Advanced Title Search menu -- the other two have to be manually assembled within the URLs. Video/Short Film, Short, gorilla (Sorted by Popularity Ascending) https://www.imdb.com/search/title/?title_type=video,short&genres=short&keywords=gorilla 110 titles. Video, Short, gorilla (Sorted by Popularity Ascending) https://www.imdb.com/search/title/?title_type=video&genres=short&keywords=gorilla 12 titles. Short Film, gorilla (Sorted by Popularity Ascending) https://www.imdb.com/search/title/?title_type=short&keywords=gorilla 98 titles.

Could this post please be unmarked as "Answered?" I don't feel like my original question -- "Is there a valid reason for omitting Short from [the genre] list" -- has been answered.
