All videos are muted

None of the videos have audio. I was prompted that the video was automuted and that I should click on the unmute button and update my browser settings to prevent this from happening from future. Well, I am not an IT amateur, I can find an unmute button if there is one, but no, there is no unmute button at all, and what kind of browser setting I should update? What the hell? I am not required to update browser settings on other sites to watch videos with sounds. This seems like a bug to me. As of now, I am unable to watch videos with sounds on the site.

@OProudmoore We can probably best help here using a specific example. If you visit https://www.imdb.com/title/tt13443470/ then the trailer to the right of the poster will auto-play muted; look in the lower left area of the trailer and you will see a speaker icon, an "X", and the words "Tap to unmute" -- all you need to do is click there to unmute the sound. After a few seconds, the "Tap to unmute" will disappear, but the speaker icon and the "X" remain and so you can still click to unmute the sound. Generally if a video is playing on IMDb without sound and you cannot see an unmute link in the video window, simply move your mouse within the video window, and in the bottom area of the video, you should see a "play or pause" icon, followed by a "skip back 10 seconds" icon and then the next icon should be the unmute icon, which you can tap. We are not sure where you were advised to change any browser settings. Can you share a link to any IMDb help text which states this? Hope this helps.

Since I originally posted, I realized that generally I have audio on the videos, but I am able to trigger the bug that I described by visiting this video: https://www.imdb.com/video/vi2878455577/?playlistId=tt9072202 When I visit this video, the video plays without a sound even if I press the "Tap to unmute" button and AFTER THIS, so long as I stay in the same browser window no other video has audio. Reloading, or opening a new browser window fixes the issue, but when I visit this specific video it is triggered again. Also, the text I mentioned appears when I open this video as a popup message on the lower part of my screen. I think a screenshot would make this very clear, but since I can't post images here, I'll post the HTML code of the message which might tell you something: Video playback muted automatically, click unmute button for sound. Update browser settings to allow video playback with sound on this page in the future.

Yeah, I see the HTML code was formatted out from my previous message, and only the text message remained. Nonetheless, that message seems to be coming from IMDB.

@OProudmoore Thanks for the example. In that case this was a badly encoded video which had no sound. It has now been removed. Are there other examples?
