Solved

Continual "Explore this page in..." popup

Today the mobile version of IMDB (android/chrome) started to continually ask "Explore this page in..." with App or Browser as the options. I click "browser," but on almost every click I still get the question. I tried the app. I hate the app. I'll never use the app. How can I get rid if this? I saw the message in the past, but clicking "browser" had always turned it off for a long, long time.

I found your comment after searching for how to stop it. Every single page, whether it’s to a new page or back to the one I was just on. Ridiculous

I use IMDb on a daily basis to process reviews and other submissions, and starting today, I began getting a pop-up of either continuing in the browser (which is my preferred way of using the site) or switching to the app which I do not have installed on my Android phone. It seems every time I refresh or start a review, this pop up appears and I would like to have it discontinued so I can just go on with my work and not be interrupted. Please advise how I can prevent this from recurring. Thanks for the problem reports and sorry for the inconvenience. We have switched off the promotion of the app to mobile browsers until the issue with it being over-served on every page has been resolved.

Thank you. I noticed that it stopped an hour or two after my original post.
