deletion request keeps being rejected

Hi everyone, I am trying to delete a short film that wasn't completed. It was marked as complete mistakenly. I think this is because we released a sizzle reel that got through to a next round funding competition on FilmFreeway. The sizzle reel didn't even contain any footage we shot, it was just to help get the project of the ground. I think that's where the confusion came from. 

But now they won't delete it, even though I have corrected the stage of production.

Imdb won't even give me any evidence of it being release or existing yet they say it does and they won't delete it! How unfair is that? They say "it is our policy not to alter or delete any kind of correct/factual information or credit from our records" whilst keeping something on there incorrect. The irony :(
