Development suggestions: tracking, discussions, reactions
I have been a firm user of the app "TV time" for many years now and have loved many of its features, but unfortunately it is shutting down in a few days. I have looked at switching over to using IMDb completley instead (I have used IMDb for many years for some things but haven't used it fully), however I feel like there are some features that would make IMDb even better that I liked about TVtime.
- Live tracking of episodes - it would be very helpful to be able to keep track on what episode I am currently on, especially when I take a break from a show or switch between shows. I would like to be able to mark half of a show as watched if I decide to stop watching it. It would be great it we could mark the episodes and keep track of things and receive notifications whenever any new tv show or movie premiere and episodes too
It will be very good to have all those features in one place rather than using different apps or sites other than imdb. - Discussion forums - its great with reviews that IMDb has, but sometimes you would like to discuss a movie or an episode in a more "questions/reply" manner with other users, or just share your thoughts, create a debate, share insights and create a community. Movies/shows are supposed to inspire people to connect, right?
- I would also like to be able to see when I have marked an episode or movie as watched (a date) and also be able to mark it as watched several times. I just think that that is a fun little statisc to have.
- Not essential, but I really liked TVtimes reaction feature. In addition to the normal star rating system, they also had the option of letting you quickly note how the movie/episode made you feel and let you vote on a favorite character for that specific episode etc.
Please upgrade the platform! It would be so nice to not have to spread out between apps and have everything in one place.
