Feedback - Pop-up Ads
What have you done, IMDB? I probably use IMDB on a daily basis to research movies, shows and actors, and have truly enjoyed it. However, when I opened the app to learn more about one of my favorite shows this evening, I was bombarded by annoying pop-up ads for a solitaire game. The ad kept popping up repeatedly! I even tried closing the app and reopening it, only to find the same ad running…and running…and running!!! I gotta tell you, if this is the new model for IMDB, I’m out!
Please tell me this was a one-off situation! I know, I’m just a single user that doesn’t carry any weight, but perhaps this will reach someone who cares about what IMDB users think and escalate this to the bean counter who launched this initiative.

Thanks for the problem report and sorry to hear about the problem. This is not expected behaviour. It could be an issue with a rogue ad, however, one common cause for this kind of issue is if you are running any kind of ad blocking software on your phone?
If the problem persists, please follow the advice in https://help.imdb.com/article/imdb/mobile-web-apps/imdb-app-general-troubleshooting/GPV9HCYQGA8XT8QZ and report back with the device and app information as indicated in this guide. Also please provide example screenshots of the problem ad and let us know in which country you are located.

Having this same issue. Such a bummer. Daily user here too and hoping IMDb hasn’t sold its interface out for gross marketing dollars.
