having a artist checklist (seen / unseen title)
hi,
i'm a long time registered member (i guess more than 15 years) and i always rates the title i seen, it helps me to remind that i saw the movie too !
Since 20years, i was searching for a feature to present me a "viewlist by artist" that would help me to find/discover (or to be alerted) of the movie i did not see yet whereas i love the artist !
An exemple :
i wish i can check an artist as "favorite", then imdd would present me a list of all his titles and put a green mark (or red mark) in front each one.
Something like that : https://ibb.co/yd9kGSc
Each time a new title from this artist will be add in IMDB (as unseen so unrated), i would love to receive an email alert to inform me there is a new title about my favourite artist or just remind me each month there 15/20 titles of my favouriste artiys i did not seen/rated yet! (oh don' t forget to put commercial ads in the email BUT ONLY about artist product, like dvd/bd/goodies/visits related products about ONLY this artist)
AS i told, i was searching for this feauture since more 20years...
i already suggested this feature to music scobbler website too (like lastfm), but no response.... it is a shame because as we allready have a data/feature to check/love/like each title, the web-developer would put a mark seen/unseen easily in the code of the page.... The data is already in the database !!!
That's all ! i hope such feature will born a fine day... The wait is long....
Have a good day

@usamike Most of what you describe already exists on IMDb (and has been available for 10+ years). It is available on both the new and old IMDb name pages … look over on the right of the page and scroll down until you reach a section headed “How Much Have You Seen”
New pages:
Old pages:
Example link -> https://www.imdb.com/seen/nm0428065/?ref_=nm_se
Similar filtering options are available on the IMDb mobile apps.
While you cannot sign-up for alerts of new credits on the regular IMDb site, you can on IMDbPro (a subscription is required for this).
Hope this helps.

hi,
thank you for the information! a lot !
That feature is burried in the -6 stage of the website ! i never saw it at this deep-down of the page !
i need to scroll down 6 pages to discover it !
The content bloc "how much have you seen" shoube be just bellow Quick Links bloc content !
Look at the whole page to discover that feature ! i put in the snapshot 3 long pages (50% zoom!)
https://postimg.cc/JsKMzKvL
Each month, there should be a newsletter with a topic "hey do you know this feature in IMDB" with a random feature .... It will help people to discover usefull feature...
Again, thank you to inform me of this feature !
And by the way, there is no "heart/star icone" to "like/subscribe/love" the artists.
Bye

3 things to fix (or update in this page) :
1 - put adv in relative with the subject ! I visit a page about an artist, then put a ads about the artist ! or just do a amazon-query with the artist name in the iframe !
2 - add a icon to subscribe/love/like and be alerted of new contents/titles about the artists
3 - fix the sorting titles. it looks that titles are in a "not logical" order. i don't find which one it is, but not the release date, not the rated date, not a alphabetical either.....
Here the screenshot.

Some idea of feature :
As there is a lot of empty space on this page (look the left and right column !!! open road of new feature)
example : Add a list of people who love the artist too (order by recent, by country people).....
