HTML Problems on Staff Picks Page
I've made a number of suggestions/corrections over the years, but those always involved the use of an Edit link on that page. Recently, I happened to come across the IMDb Staff Picks page:
https://www.imdb.com/imdbpicks/staff-picks/?ref_=tt_sw_staffpicks_em00081_i
There's no Edit link on this page, and I agree that there's usually no reason to have one, but someone should look at these suggestions. The problem I see is that there is inconsistency in how film titles should be displayed. Should they be in quotes or in italics. I THINK italics are the best treatment, when available, but I'm not sure.
However it is done, take a look at the entry for "The Carpenter's Son," where there's a failed attempt to put quotes around a title. There you will find a case of HTML gone wrong. Would it make sense to fix this?
For the record, when other entries wanted to put a title in quotes, the simply used quotes, no HTML calls required.
thanks for reading,

@jadney Thanks for the feedback. It looks like the Staff Picks page has been updated on its regular monthly frequency since you posted because your example title is no longer on the page. Please let us know if you are seeing any issues with the December update.
As to the general format of titles on this page, it is the house style across IMDb and so we have no plans to update it.
Hope this helps.
