IMDB links no longer show preview on Discord

This problem should be easy to reproduce, just post an IMDb link anywhere in discord. There are settings in discord to try and fix the issue, but they do not work for me or anyone else I have spoken to.

I've been messaging Discord support about this issue too. Here is their latest message regarding this matter:

Hi there, I tried the IMDb link you shared on my end as well, and I’m seeing the same behavior, the preview isn’t generating anymore. So you’re not doing anything wrong, and none of the settings on your side are causing this. It looks like this is happening consistently across accounts and platforms. At this point, this is very likely an issue with how IMDb pages are sending preview metadata to Discord. When the metadata format changes or stops being provided, Discord can’t create an embed, which results in the blank preview you’re seeing. The good news is: our team is already aware of similar reports, and I’ve added your example to help them track the behavior more accurately. Right now, there’s nothing you need to adjust, the issue isn’t on your end. If the previews start working again, it’ll be because the metadata is updated either on IMDb’s side or after Discord’s next embed refresh. If you would like to see changes made to our app in the future, you can post and/or upvote the idea here. Feedback from our community contributes to which features or changes we decide to implement. While this feature is not available in the app at this time, we like to think anything is possible in the future. If you have any other questions related to the app itself, feel free to let us know through here. If you run into any other links behaving the same way or notice that previews start working again later, feel free to let me know, I’m happy to check anything else for you. Take care,ShaneDiscord Support

hope they can fix this, last time this happened it didn't work for over a year

really frustrating considering I tend to share imdb links almost daily

Yeah, same... it's very handy to be able to scroll through a large amount of posts in no time... with the simple links it just does not work at all.

Discord previews should start working again when you share IMDb links. It might take a few hours to fully kick in.

If it's still not working tomorrow, please reply here and we'll take another look.
