IMDb Redesigns Event Pages

As expected, the "+ Add to Watchlist" button makes pages load much slower, in the previous version it loaded instantly. Without that button it would be fine.

The 2024 Cannes Film Festival page takes about 20 seconds to load all elements (on mobile). On the previous version, it opened in 2 seconds. I think it's a general problem of IMDb with the "new" layout, everything is much slower now than 5 or more years ago, which is ironic because the internet is getting faster.

Great news, I like the redesign. I was waiting the displaying vote for the movie to appear. But why this display does not appears for some categories? Make it display in Best actor/actress/director too please. And, some but the way, please add the displaying of vote for the movies at the search result page too.

Michelle: I was just testing a correction of a nomination, and found that when I selected "Correct/Delete", a page with the nominations for that award from every year came up. Then I tried it for the Primetime Emmy Awards, an award which has been around for over 70 years and has numerous categories. Not only did the page with nominations to correct not load, I got an error message: Error checking updates We experienced an error while checking your updates, this may be due to the size of your submission or an issue with our systems. Please retry in a few minutes or contact our Customer Services Team. When a user tries to correct the nominations for an award, only the nominations for one particular year should be displayed, rather than trying to display the nominations for all years. Trying to display the nominations for all years slows down performance, or in the case of a long-time event, shuts it down entirely.
