Lists: RSS feed for your ratings and other lists

Hello,

since the latest "redesign" of the ratings page the rss feature has been abandoned. I used this to create a local archive of my ratings, to be able to search and sort within it and to see related movies.

For this I used Devonthink, which can import rss feeds and then an applescript to archive the corresponding movie/episode webpage and to convert the imdb ratings into Devonthink labels/tags.

Blog post (German, but has pix): http://www.taptoplay.de/post/60059664981/devonthink-imdb-import

Forum post: http://forum.devontechnologies.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=17477

Please bring back rss feeds for the ratings.

Thanks,
Bye

Please make this a higher priority. We used to get notified of our friends' ratings via RSS. This meant more page visits for you.

I used to use rss feed to share my recent movies ratings to social networks. Now IMDB removes the rss feed with no other replacing options to share the ratings?? (some of my friends told me that they can click 'share' after rate the movie. BUT I CANT DO THAT IN BOTH web and mobile apps).

TBH, this is really frustrated me. Really disappointed for the updates from IMDB recently...

Most of the watchlist and checkin features feel useless to me without RSS feeds coming out of them.

If they're not coming back you should at least remove the details from your help documentation: https://help.imdb.com/article/imdb/social/check-ins-faq/GG59ELYW45FMC7J3?ref_=helpsect_cons_5_1#export

Instead of inovating and adding features, they remove them. That's why I switched to trakt.tv

Features are added, just not the ones most customers asked to be added.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled RSS feeds certificate error.

The RSS feeds for watchlists are currently broken due to a conflict between the certificate and domain name.

The error in Google chrome is "This server could not prove that it is rss.imdb.com; its security certificate is from us.dd.imdb.com. This may be caused by a misconfiguration or an attacker intercepting your connection." and "You cannot visit rss.imdb.com right now because the website uses HSTS. Network errors and attacks are usually temporary, so this page will probably work later."

The error in Firefox is "Websites prove their identity via certificates. Firefox does not trust this site because it uses a certificate that is not valid for rss.imdb.com. The certificate is only valid for the following names: imdb.com, www.imdb.com, secure.imdb.com, s.media-imdb.com, us.dd.imdb.com, www.imdb.to, imdb-webservice.amazon.com, origin-www.imdb.com"

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Auto add Movies/TV Shows to IMDB list - RSS Feeds.

Is it possible to auto update an imdb list with new results from an advanced search filter of TV Shows or Movies? If not, is it possible to create a RSS feed which auto updates from an advanced search filter of TV Shows or Movies?
