missing actresses in people's search

Hi,

October 15th, the sarch

https://www.imdb.com/search/name/?birth_date=1992-10-16,2004-10-15&gender=female&adult=include&count=100 had 12319 results, today it has 11508. I doubt that 800 actresses, 6.6%, defined as non-binary within 2 monts or lost their date of birth in the imdb datbase.

As an example, you don't find Jenna Ortega anymore, no matter if you choose female, male, non-binary or other. She's born in September 2002, a date that's within the given range.

Please look at this issue and let me search for all actors again.

Thanks

Chris

I can confirm Jenna Ortega is missing from the list, since by an alpha sort she should appear here:

https://www.imdb.com/search/name/?birth_date=1992-10-16,2004-10-15&gender=female&adult=include&sort=alpha,asc&start=4751&ref_=rlm

And her imdb page does have her birth date as you state:

https://www.imdb.com/name/nm4911194/bio?ref_=nm_ov_bio_sm

When I try to edit her gender identity (to see what's there), ,it gives me the message

Sorry, you cannot add or update Gender data for this name.

But her edit page does have the category "Actress Credits", so she would seem to qualify for this search. (I don't know what that looks like for a non-binary/other name.)

@Giancarlo_Cairella thank you very much, I hope it will get solved soon.

By the way I got 2 E-Mails, telling me that you replied, but I only see 1 reply, is there anything else you wanted to tell me?

This is still in progress. We know the cause, but it'll take some work to fix. Realistically, it will not be addressed until after the holiday period, due to resource constraints.

Apologies for the inconvenience.

why is it marked as "no status" istead of "in progress" now?

@czender Sorry, yes, the fix is going to take a little bit longer as various data fields need to be carefully updated.

ok, it's still in progress but Jenna Ortega is part of the list again and it has 12790 entries at the moment, thanks for the works so far and hope to have the complete list again soon

@Col_Needham thanks for solving the problem and asking me for missing names.

I found the following actresses, which are not searchable with the Female's search. I find Sara Ramirez with non-binary search, I don't find the others at all.

nm3964350 Amandla Stenberg
nm2811823 Sierra McCormick
nm6617420 Brigette Lundy-Paine
nm3776906 Chloe Farnworth
nm0708381 Sara Ramirez
nm0842454 Gina-Raye Carter

@czender Thanks.  This is useful and we will take a look at these cases.  Chloe & Gina have birthdates outside of your original search though so are you now using another query?

Hi Col, yes you`re right, I used female search with birth date and a list (sorry forgot which one) and compared the results with the date of births in the downloaded csv File of the list.

@czender We have researched the above examples and fixed a few further errors in our data migration.  All of the examples now work as expected ... the names are either searchable as female / non-binary or they have chosen not to share their gender identity.
