My list seems to be hidden from public view and/or the related lists feature. I think I know why, but I disagree and must complain.
For the past 8 years, my primary hobby on IMDb (at least when it comes to public lists) has been making large and detailed lists related to the National Film Registry. These lists are designed to organize specific information about the registry's currently-875 titles (soon to be 900) in a comprehensive and easily-accessible way. One of the lists in this series, Sort of in the National Film Registry, has garnered a mere 91 views total despite being set to public since its creation ≈5 years ago. This is far below what one would expect when comparing with the view counts of others in this series (the most successful of which currently has 5.5k views after four years). This leads me to believe that this list in particular is being hidden or shadow-banned or something, and I have a sneaking suspicion as to what the cause of it is.
The list in question is meant to be a complete list of every film, TV series, or video game that is either featured in or edited into one or more of the 875 titles inducted into the National Film Registry (while not being a National Film Registry title itself). There are currently 465 titles total on the list, and each entry has a detailed breakdown in the notes specifying which of the National Film Registry inductee(s) it is featured in along with the year of induction. (This number is bound to change shortly, as the Library of Congress will most likely be announcing this year's inductees within a week or so.)
It is a factual list, not based on personal opinion or whimsy. I cannot add or delete titles from the list without interfering with my commitment to presenting a complete and accurate picture of the available data. Unfortunately, if my suspicions are correct, the 'related lists' ban (and the resultant abysmally low view count) is being caused by one particular title out of those 465. That would be the adult film Sexual Freedom in Denmark (1970), which has earned a spot at #24 on the list due to its inclusion in the film Taxi Driver (1976), which was inducted into the registry in 1994.
There are no external links anywhere on the list. Nothing that could be regarded as spam. This one adult title is the only culprit I can think of.
I want my list to be seen, but not at the cost of manipulating the data and deleting relevant information. Is there anything that can be done to solve this issue without sacrificing the comprehensiveness and accuracy of the list in question? Or is this list idea just doomed from the start?
On another note...
What will happen to my other lists in the future in the unexpected yet not entirely unlikely event that the National Film Preservation Board eventually decides to induct something like Deep Throat or Debbie Does Dallas for their "cultural, historical or aesthetic significance"? Will all of my National Film Registry-related lists be subject to the same curse of invisibility due to the inclusion of a single film?
P.S. I can't find anything on the help page explaining IMDb's policy on the visibility of user-created lists in the 'related lists' thing, and how this is (or is not) affected by the presence of adult titles on said list. What I do know is that this one particular list for some reason is not showing up anywhere in the 'related list' section for any of the titles featured on it, and there must be a reason. Someone should explain the policy to me so I can complain about it with greater precision.
