parental controls

My 9 year old daughter gets on the IMDB app to search actors and which movies they are in. Is there any way to block what trailers she can access within the app? I am worried that she can expose herself to scary or adult themed content in the form of trailers and would love a way to prevent that while still letting her research her favorite talent.

We do not have any parental controls in the apps at this point, sorry.

However, please see https://www.imdb.com/privacy and specifically:

Are Children Allowed to Use IMDb Services?

IMDb Services are not intended for use by children under the age of 13. If you are under 13, you may not sign up for IMDb Services or submit information about yourself to IMDb.

IMDb trailers are "green band" (ie: approved for all audiences as in movie theaters).  We do have some "red band" (ie: restricted) trailers, but they require confirmation of age before they will play on the site and they are specifically not available on the IMDb app.

Hope this helps.

If you search for any R rated movie, the trailer just plays. There was no warning about content or prompt to approve you are 18+.  I'm not sure what you mean.

Does my 9 year old specifically seek out R rated movies? No, but they are advertised on the home page so one click and you are watching it

@sandy2  I'd love your suggestions. She uses it to look up actors and see their photos and what movies they are in. anything equivalent?
