Popular Searches

I sure would like to get rid of the drop-down menu "Popular Searches". I don't know who thought up this idea, and especially how it's placed - I've never used it and it blocks part of the site. Besides, sometimes it's there and sometimes it's gone (thank god!), and it usually stays up even after entering a search query and a new site comes up. Isn't there any way I can get rid of this thing?

@ louis_f_dow_6967442 The popular searches list only appears when you start typing into the search box. It sounds like you are seeing it at other times? If so, it is likely you have a browser extension which is interfering with the keyboard focus on IMDb. Please follow the advice in https://help.imdb.com/article/imdb/common-issues/why-is-imdb-displaying-differently-on-my-browser/GF2ZAR69V859XLHF and let us know what happens. I have the same question: How to hide the Popular Searches from the drop-down of the search field. I can't believe this was marked as solved.
