Reviews: Add user review filters based on country
Hi,
IMDB used to have option of advanced filtering of user reviews where it allowed me to filter user reviews based on the country (in the sort by option where sort by Helpfulness, review date, Total votes etc is present) . It had lot of other options but I used this option the most. This was present till IMDB had it's old look.
But in the new look this option is totally missing. This is very disappointing.
I use this option to find reviews of my country people (India) for International movies. For example, I use this option to analyze how Indian crowd liked the movie compared to other international crowd. Most of us rate movies based on slightly different veiwpoint and we Indians expect high entertainment value in the movie more than anything else. So it was easy for me to check if I can see a particular movie or not by viewing reviews of fellow imdb users from my country. Also for TV series it's very useful because watching TV series is a long commitment and I used to have clear answer whether to watch it or not by filtering Indian user reviews.
Please add this option back to the site.
Note: The additional filtering options like filter by country in user reviews used to be only shown if I login to IMDB site. If I don't login then the filtering options were same us what is being shown now.
In the new IMDB website redesign, irrespective of whether I login or not, the user review filtering options are same. I think someone missed updating this logic during the redesign.

Please put country of origin back into the user reviews. When you see a film and all voters giving 10/10 then there is normally something not right. Usually it would be a film from a country that know one else has seen but all reviews are from that country. It gives a better idea about how good a film is when you can see the comments are from a cross section of viewers.

Hi,
I'm a student who is currently doing a project to study the behaviour of the spectators from different countries.
I would like to know if in the section: user reviews, there is an option to filter their reviews based on their country of origin. It will be really helpful for my project.

Why IMDB doesnot provide option to filter movie reviews and rating by country.
i want to know how is the film perceived in my country. The taste of Indians might be very different from that of a US audience. I remember Earlier this option was available.
please bring it back
