SYNC LICENSING
I am a singer/songwriter. I have a list of films and TV shows that have used tracks by similar artists to me and I'm trying to find out who the music supervisors were who had the power to select tracks for use in these movies or TV shows. Can you please tell me how to obtain this info?

Hi Mark - I might suggest that you take a look at the basic production company info for a particular movie/show on IMDb. If you search for a show, for example, CSI Vegas - you will see in the Details section
Production companies - Jerry Bruckheimer Television Trace Pictures CBS Studios
From there you can sometimes click their links to get more info or could look up their contact info elsewhere. Also - if you wanted to become an IMDb Pro member I believe there is more detail you can get on production and such - is that correct @Col_Needham ?
Happy searching!

Can you tell me whether I get the details I require if I sign up for Pro? Also I don't have an Amazon account. Do I have to have one to sign up for pro. And can I cancel if I no longer need Pro?

I have searched for a few but it didn't seem to give me everything I need. I was wondering what the further info you get is when you sign up for Pro.

Here are a few. I have about 200. I looked at all the details but couldn't see music supervisors or whatever they may call them. I was wondering if they were part of the specific details you get when you sign up for Pro

Okay - so I looked at Criminal Minds here on IMDb - some of the following were shown.
Touchstone Television
(2005-2007)
Paramount Network Television
(2005-2006)
The Mark Gordon Company
ABC Signature
ABC Signature
(2007)
While you can't get the specific contact info for these companies on IMDb, you could do an internet search and see what you could find there. If your goal is to basically get your music in front of these people who pick songs to use in productions, I would suspect you also may need to get setup as an artist with a connection to the entertainment industry (unless you have that already) - things like an agent or be in a trade union as a member. For example, people who sell screenplays to Hollywood are usually members of WGA West.
Do you know anyone already in the industry - do you have representation or a label?
