The option for me to delete posts, comments or replies that I've created on IMDb's Sprinklr no longer appears in the UI as presented to me.

Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Or is it something that the administrator will have to fix?

If everybody is affected, then why is an older thread about this nowhere to be found?

What gives?

jeorj: I don't see the option to delete my messages either, although I still have the option to edit them.

If you have anything that you need to delete, you should probably be able to edit it and replace it with the words "Message deleted".

I might be the one to have discovered this. If so, I figure, it must be a new phenomenon, because I don't post here as often as I used to, so it may be a coincidence that nobody previously seemed to published any observation/realization of it.

Hi @jeorj_euler -

Currently, only IMDb staff can delete content within the community.  If you have a post, comment, or reply that you would like removed, let us know (including the reason) and our community staff can take a look.

Cheers!

O, wow. That would explain it.

Well, I can definitely understand why the forum configuration would be set up that way for posts (thread-level messages) and comments (the first layer of messages nested) on threads, because when they disappear, everything nested under them them disappears too, but replies to comments are like leafs, so the same logic wouldn't apply to them. Just food for thought, but I'm sure there may be technical limitations on Sprinklr that makes it hard to establish such a functional policy.
