web page freezes constantly

When I'm trying to search for a film, the page freezes, and I have to refresh constantly. Is this a widespread problem or is it just me?

@garyhouy52 Nobody else is reporting this so it is likely a local problem, sorry. Please follow the advice in https://help.imdb.com/article/imdb/common-issues/why-is-imdb-displaying-differently-on-my-browser/GF2ZAR69V859XLHF and let us know what happens. In particular please pay attention to the point on ad blockers and the use of any so called "accelerators" which likely have the opposite effect in IMDb's case. Note that some page elements depend on others to load first so if you are blocking ads or other IMDb content, this could lead to freezes as you describe. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. All my ad blockers are off. How do I shut down 'accelerators'?

It sounds like you do not have any web accelerator software in that case. Have you tried disabling any VPN software and also accessing IMDb from an incognito / private browsing tab? Also per the help link above, have you tried different web browsers as that will tell you whether the problem is related to your default web browser?
