Why do I need to enable the script awswaf . com when going to IMDb?

Noscript is a allowing tool. Since I don't enable the awswaf . com script, IMDb doesn't show the page I open from copying links from the poll forum. I want to know what script it is and why I have to enable it.

@Breumaster https://help.imdb.com/article/imdb/common-issues/why-is-imdb-displaying-differently-on-my-browser/GF2ZAR69V859XLHF. The use of ad blockers and other software which modifies the behaviour of IMDb pages is not supported, sorry, and we are therefore unable to offer any further assistance here.

Thank you for reacting. It's just because I'm careful in the internet and usually just allow really needed scripts to be active, the others I let down by noscript, ublock, clearurls and privacy badger. The internet is full of them and it's growing like cancer, so all should better take care, isn't it. I have the attitude that people shouldn't make them self fully transperent persons in each kind. Maybe for banks, ok. They are mostly serious and won't mess around with your data. But when it comes to data brokers, I clearly say no. So I also use incogni for deleting data. Btw.: I asked chatGPT and it say that the script is for avoiding fraud, bots and such things. It's a service which is rented from Amazon. I guess you pay about 100.000 dollar a month for it. Have a nice day. :D

@Breumaster It is your choice as to whether you do all of the above, of course, but as you have observed, it may interfere with IMDb site features for you. Another alternative is to visit the "Your Ads Privacy Choices" link in the lower right of the footer at the bottom of any page on IMDb.com. You can choose to decline all cookies there and also switch off all advertising cookies via the two settings. Furthermore, on the same page if you follow the link in the sentence: "To change your interest-based ad preferences, go to the Amazon Advertising Preferences page." on the resulting page, you can choose the option: "Do not show me interest-based ads provided by Amazon" You will not be tracked and you will not see any customised ads while still being able to use IMDb just as before. Please note that regardless of any setting above, IMDb does NOT sell anyone's data to data-brokers under any circumstances.
