Add Thumbnail Slate image to my Demo Reel

Yes, I am having the same issue.

WHY are we no longer getting several slate images to choose from?

Thank you, Michelle!  I appreciate it!  Also, I changed that video to make it my Primary Video - I thought that meant it would replace the video that is currently next to my photo when you log onto IMDB. However, that didn't happen.  How do I switch out the video that appears there now to the one you just helped me with.  Or do you /  someone in IMDB support have to do that? Thank you! I appreciate your help with this!

As you are an active IMDbPro member, you can manually choose which video appears as the featured video on your page.  For detailed instructions on how to change your primary video, see the section "Can I change the video appearing next to my headshot on my page" on our Help Guide.

Follow those steps and let us know if you encounter any issues!

Hi Michelle, it's possible that my previous attempt at changing my primary video didn't work because it wasn't saved.  I just tried it again and it says it will take 24 hrs to appear on my page.  So hopefully that works.

I have updated the thumbnail of the video now, if no problems are encountered this should update online within 12 hours on all platforms. 

@Jack​ Can you please advise if/when this fix is going to be final?  I see that you indicated that it was supposed to be done a couple of weeks ago.  Thanks.

@BRBB22 Hi there, we've continued making progress on this. Newly uploaded videos now have multiple thumbnails to choose from upon upload completion. So any videos uploaded going forward, as of about a couple weeks ago, should be displaying multiple to choose from now.

We are also actively working on backfilling previously uploaded videos' thumbnails as well, so if you have previously uploaded videos with just one thumbnail for selection that will be updated in the next couple of days.

On a different technical issue...and one that I and others have been seeking help with for years ...can you please add/turn on the ability for us to click and drag ALL of our photos on the images tab in the order that we want so that we don't have to delete them all and then manually upload them one at at time?

Right now, that ability is only available for the featured images...which are on the same page as the rest of our images.

Our requests for this either go ignored or, if we do get a response, it is rather generic and along the lines of "we appreciate the suggestion"..."we'll look into it"..."it has to be asked for a lot in the community before we'll look into it"...etc.

Please make this happen for us, it would be greatly appreciated!

IMDb is always looking for ways to improve and provide better service to our customers. In this case, I recommend that you repost your comment separately so that we can create a poll and let other community members vote on the photos feature improvement you highlighted and give visibility of interest for IMDb staff to monitor.

@Jon​ No offense, but that's the exact type of useless response that we've gotten in the past.  

I did exactly that years ago and am still waiting on the fix!

What you suggest will not work.  Most people would not even see that post, and only a very small percentage of those who do see it would even comment or vote on it.

Why do you have to have " a lot" of people ask for something before you even consider doing it?

How hard can it be to add that feature since it is already on that SAME page as our featured images?

I understand your frustration, especially since you’ve raised this suggestion in the past and haven’t seen a resolution yet. We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback again.

Posting an Idea in the community is a process that helps our product teams prioritize projects/improvements by gathering use cases, impact, and community interest in one place.  While not every suggestion requires widespread support to be considered, higher engagement does help teams assess demand and allocate resources alongside other ongoing work.

Even when a feature appears closely related to existing functionality, implementing changes can involve broader technical and design considerations that aren’t always visible.  Posting and engaging on an Idea thread ensures the request is documented, visible to the right teams, and considered as part of future planning. 

@Michelle​ So, based on your reply, it appears that the only way this issue will gain any traction is still ONLY via the community.

I stand by my contention that, if this is the case, there won't be much "community interest" or "higher engagement" just because of how random it is that anyone even looks for/sees/responds to that particular post...thus automatically condemning it to "non-priority" status.

As far as how much tech would be involved in implementing this, I cannot speak to that so I will have to take your word for it.

Regardless, I've said and done all that I can to get this issue the proper attention that it deserves...which apparently isn't much.
