Hello @makyesmak,

IMDbPro uses proprietary algorithms that take into account several measures of popularity for people, titles and companies. The primary measure is who and what people are looking at on IMDb.

The rankings are updated on a weekly basis, typically by the end of Monday.

So, in a round about and indirect way, it sounds like your answer is that IMDb Pro subjectively puts together these ratings in an arbitrary and capricious way?

If that is not your intention by your manner of answering, could you or someone else please provide a less ambiguos, and more straight to the point and direct answer explaining how a STARmeter rating is formed? And, I am in no way intending to be sarcastic by my follow-up back to you. I just feel that a more precise and clear explanation would be more beneficial, and is needed.

By the way, and for instance, I previously was erroneously listed as two people on two listed pages for my credits on each production I had recently worked on. One credit listing was listed without my middle name on it (as initially inputted by applicable producers) ; and the other with my middle name. And, the two so called "STARmeter" ratings for me (the very same person) were widely differing from one another. Now, after finally getting IMDb to correct, and merge the two prior listings (both being me, the very same person), and only leaving the one without my middle name, my ratings are the higher of the two, and the lower rated listing has been eliminated. And, this just doesn't seem to  make any factual sense to me, or to any extent.
