Is there a way to remove ads from my page?

Hi, I’m a pro member with an actor page.

id like to share a link to my page on several outlets such as on my Instagram, but others without subscriptions have complained at the amount of ads that appear. I’m not sure what it looks like for non pro members, but I’m curious if there’s a way I can share a non ad page with non-IMDb pro members?

if not, I don’t feel comfortAble sharing links to my page.

thanks

Hi there Turi,

I understand your concern.

Users who do not have an IMDbPro membership will only see your page on IMDb, and it will look like this.

Unfortunately we cannot remove these ads

Bummer, thanks for clarifying.

Do you know if IMDB Pro has any plans to address this issue? - I'd pay extra for an ad-free link to the page.

With so many ads pushing you around on the page, I don't blame anyone

for not wanting to visit it. It's really not a good experience, so I can't be sharing that link with anyone. Do you know of any workarounds?

@turihaim

Let me turn this post into an 'idea'.

This will allow us to measure the level of interest and may help with future improvements.  :)

@turihaim Do you have a screen-grab of the ad overload in action which you can share here?  IMDb has a light ad load compared to most major sites and it could be there’s an issue with your browser injecting additional ads.

The following may help -> https://help.imdb.com/article/imdb/general-information/why-is-imdb-displaying-differently-on-my-browser/GF2ZAR69V859XLHF

@Col_Needham Sure thing!

I dissected the issue a little more per your screenshot suggestion.

The main issue, is when you click the URL link and arrive on the profile page, the top ad pushes my IMDB profile, down hard, practically off the page and you then have to readjust and scroll to find it or collapse the ad to see the profile fully. That's the real issue. I don't mind if there's cool ads running on the sides and the very top, but pushing the profile off the page is the main issue that deters people, myself included. If I'm not logged into my IMDB pro account, I would never bother visiting IMDB because I know it's overly saturated with ads that ruin your experience.

*In the screenshot below, my profile pic, should appear at the top left of the page, not the bottom.

Anywho, thanks for listening. Hope this helps.

I noticed this feature recently, maybe not exactly what you're looking for but I think you may find it useful:

It generates you a link for your IMDbPro profile that everyone can view. And that page does not have any ads.
