Yes, that is correct. From https://contribute.imdb.com/help/201989690
I added an image to my favorite title, making sure to tag all the actors in the photo. The image appears on the title page but not on the actor's page. Is this correct?Yes, user supplied title images are only visible on title pages. They will not appear on name pages. Adding images to name pages requires an IMDbPro subscription. To learn more, please see Adding photos to IMDb.
To add photos to your name page, an IMDbPro subscription is required. Please see http://www.imdb.com/help/show_leaf?addphoto
I have an IMDb Pro subscription. Is it simply a case of re-adding the photo's to my profile? Or is there an easier way, such as a tagging process that does this automatically?
You will need to re-add the photo(s) as part of your IMDb Pro photo collection, sorry.
This is a good point though so we will move this thread over to the "Ideas" category for future consideration as it would be simpler if this was automatic.
I was searching to find this answer, and see this was 6 years ago, any chance this was done? I would love to bring up photos automatically from a page for a film, to my name page (yes I am IMDB Pro). Thanks!
Same issue here, do we need to take a "screenshot" of the TV/Film photos and RE-upload them...? So they are now doubled up on the IMDB database...? This seems really counter-productive.
