STARmeter Decline Despite Major Recent Credits

Hello, A few months ago, I contacted IMDb support about an unusual and sustained decline in my STARmeter ranking. Jolene from IMDb kindly reviewed my account and confirmed that the ranking was displaying correctly at that time, but the numbers have continued to behave in a way that seems inconsistent with my recent credits and overall activity. Despite having a credited role in the 2024 blockbuster Bad Boys: Ride or Die (two days of principal photography) and a recurring role in the 2023 series Terror Lake Drive, my STARmeter has dropped and stayed well below my usual range. I’ve generally ranked better than 100,000, but since early spring I’ve been around 200,000 or worse without any rebound. I understand fluctuations are normal, but the pattern doesn’t seem to match typical post-release visibility trends. I also noticed that on my profile for Evil Talks: Chilling Confessions, I’m now listed near the bottom of the credited cast even though I was #1 billed for my episode. That change in placement feels unrelated but possibly connected to the visibility issue. Could someone review my profile and help me understand if these ranking and cast-listing changes are connected, or if there’s something else affecting the metrics? My IMDbPro page: https://pro.imdb.com/name/nm1881501/overview Thank you for taking the time to look into this.

Hello @dwightturner, I've reviewed your STARmeter graph on your IMDbPro page (https://pro.imdb.com/mypage) and confirm the ranking is correct. The STARmeter ranking is based on several statistical indicators including the frequency and number of people who view an individual's IMDb page. The STARmeter ranking can change week over week based on this. When statistical calculations are performed on such a large sample of data, even small variations in popularity can produce significant changes in rank. When an individual is very popular, the average interest of users over time remains fairly constant. With less popular names, it's more common to have sudden and sharp increases or decreases in the number of people who visit their page or see their filmography credits. Note: IMDbPro regularly refines its statistical algorithms to accurately reflect current trends in titles and people, capturing interest from both fans and professionals alike. This is basically the same canned response I received before. You can see the former response below. And my question about Evil Talks: Chilling confessions was not answered. This type of poor customer service has led to my decision not to continue paying for IMDb Pro once my subscription expires. I have been a customer for years and I have contributed extensively to IMDb Pro. No more. Hello there, This is Jolene from IMDb support. Hello dwightturner, Thank you for your message and I'm sorry for any inconvenience caused. Both replies given are correct, the current STARmeter is accurate. I've personally reviewed your name page to make sure that there have been no internal changes that could affect the ranking. Regarding the credits order, our pages attempt to display cast lists in the same order as they appeared in the most complete on-screen listing (usually the one in the end titles). This may be different than the billing on movie posters or main titles. In some movies cast members are credited in order of appearance, while in others they are listed in alphabetical order. The credit position on one title will not affect your STARmeter ranking.
