updates on IMDbPro profiles
Dear IMDbPro Support Team,
I have a question regarding how updates are handled on IMDbPro profiles.
Specifically, I would like to understand who has control over the information displayed on a person's IMDbPro presentation page. Does the individual user alone have to provide any updates for them to appear on their profile, or does IMDb staff also initiate updates independently?
Additionally, if a user does not provide any updates for some time, but IMDb staff notices that this person has made new deals, worked on new projects, or achieved recent successes, would IMDbPro by itself execute such updates on their behalf?
In other words, is profile information entirely user-driven, or does IMDb actively update pages based on industry news and developments?
I am trying to understand whether control over profile content rests solely with the account holder or if IMDb also takes an editorial role in keeping pages current.

Hello @flapper ,
IMDb and IMDbPro name pages can be updated by any user with an IMDb account through submissions. Updates such as credits, trivia, representation, personal information, biography and other factual information can be submitted via these submissions.
However, to be able to manage the page and upload photos and videos, and updates such as known for titles, professions and more, can be done with an IMDbPro Membership .
Once a user make a contribution, a member of the IMDb team will review the update, and if valid, approve the contribution. But the IMDb team does not proactively add new information to IMDb pages on customer's behalf.
